Susan Goodwin’s published work focuses on multiculturality, emancipatory practices, and teacher union reform.

Activities & Honors:
As Director of the Rochester Teacher Center, Susan Goodwin designs and implements professional development models embedded within the context of teachers’ daily work with students. Central to her work of changing the culture around teaching and learning is supporting practitioners in developing pedagogies that reflect understanding of the relationship between theory and practice. Ms. Goodwin has worked many years as a secondary social studies teacher and a teacher union leader. She is co-chair of the Rochester Teachers Association Multicultural Education Committee and has worked to help teachers develop the cultural knowledge that supports student learning.
