Activities & Honors:
Priscilla Sanville received her Ph.D. from the Union Institute in Multicultural Education with a focus on culture and learning styles. Her B.A. was in Speech and Theatre with a minor in Education from the University of Denver, CO. She was an elementary school teacher for fifteen years (1st, 2nd, 3rd grade) and a supervisor of a drama/theatre program for another 15 years in the public schools (K-12). Sanville’s expertise lies in drama, dance and group facilitation, particularly in dealing with diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Her passion is directed toward social justice through the arts and curriculum integration. Sanville is interested in the dialogue that can occur in our classrooms and community cross-culturally and multiculturally. She has taught in Russia, Israel, British Columbia and Quebec. The courses she teaches are Drama and Critical Literacy, Arts Approach to Multicultural Education, Arts Approach to Diversity and Reflective Practice, Creative Movement: Kinesthetic learning Across the Curriculum, and Educator Inquiry. Sanville is also a faculty mentor and student advisor in the Individually Designed Program.
